The Beatles were a rock and pop band from Liverpool, England that formed in 1960. During their career, the group primarily consisted of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals).
In 1964, the Beatles songs took the US music scene by storm, and soon the country was rocking to Beatlemania! Topps quickly produced a series of Beatles trading cards that would churn out six series.
The BEATLES display box
The front of each card features a white border, with a black & white photo image of one or more of the Beatles. Each card features either a head shot or the group in a series of poses. A blue ink facsimile autograph is overlayed on each image. The card back is plain gray with a blue border box in the lower portion of the card that reads, "#xx in a series of 60 photos".
